Science Fairs

STEM Training provides guidance and support for school and district level Science Melas, Manak-Inspire awards, and student competitions such as Olympiads. The programme aims to nurture scientific curiosity and innovation among government school students who otherwise have limited exposure to such opportunities.

Through structured mentorship and resource support, students are guided to develop science projects, prepare for competitions, and present their ideas at regional and national platforms. This exposure builds confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

Programme highlights:

  • Preparation and mentorship for school-level and district-level Science Melas, where students showcase original science projects.
  • Guidance for the Manak-Inspire awards — a Government of India initiative to identify and nurture young scientific talent.
  • Coaching for national and international Olympiads in science and mathematics.
  • Hands-on workshops that introduce students to scientific experimentation, observation, and hypothesis testing.
IN-DEED Foundation

Activity details

IN-DEED supported students in developing ideas, building working models and presenting innovations through school-level science fairs in preparation for district and higher-level competitions.

Students applied their coding and robotics knowledge to develop functional models, demonstrating how skills gained through the programme translated into practical projects.

Participation strengthened communication, critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving.

During the year, students presented 52 robotic models at the school level.

Of these:

  • 39 progressed to the district level
  • 17 were winners
  • 6 models were selected for the state-level competition

The state-level selections recognised students’ innovative ideas and outstanding performance.
